All projects: Construction update, May 2025

Great work continues on our eight construction bond projects. Here is a summary of updates as presented to the school board at the May 21 meeting. Click on each project for details.

Sumner High School Phase 2 West Building 

• Continue educational space needs research; anticipated completion in June
• Continue schematic design (initial phase of architectural design process) through July
• Completed geotechnical soil testing
• Completed and reviewed floor plan concept 
• Approved Hutteball + Oremus Architecture, Inc. as project architect (May 21 school board meeting)

Bonney Lake High School Expansion & Intersection Improvement

• Continue educational space needs research; anticipated completion in June
• Continue schematic design (initial phase of architectural design process) through August
• Completed and reviewed floor plan concept 
• Began BLHS/Mountain View MS intersection design 
• Approved BCRA, Inc. as project architect (May 21 school board meeting)

New middle school in Tehaleh 

• Continue educational space needs research; anticipated completion in June
• Continue schematic design (initial phase of architectural design process) through September
• Completed geotechnical soil testing
• Approved McGranahanPBK as project architect (April 16 school board meeting)

Daffodil Valley Elementary and Donald Eismann Elementary 

• Selected designer
• Negotiating contract 
• Preparing concepts 

Crestwood Elementary, Liberty Ridge Elementary and Tehaleh Heights Elementary 

• Architect selections begin in June
